We are writing to inform all Golden Marriage Media members of an important update to our Privacy Policy, effective 1 June 2026. We have comprehensively reviewed and updated our data practices to ensure they reflect current best standards in data protection and to give our members clearer, more meaningful control over their personal information.
Key Changes
1. Clearer Consent for Data Use
We have revised the language around how we use member data to make it more specific and understandable. We do not sell your personal data to third parties, and we never have. The updated policy makes this explicit in clear terms, along with detailed descriptions of how your data is used within the platform.
2. Right to Account Deletion
Members have always been able to delete their accounts. The updated policy now formally documents the deletion process: what data is removed, what (if anything) is retained for legal compliance purposes, and the timeline for deletion to take effect. You can initiate account deletion from your profile settings at any time.
3. Photo Privacy Controls
Your gallery photos can now be set to one of three visibility levels: Public (visible to all members), Connections (visible only to members you have exchanged interest with), or Private (visible only to you). The updated policy documents how these settings work and confirms that our staff do not access member photos except in the context of moderation reports.
4. Device and Notification Data
If you use our mobile app, we collect a device token to send you push notifications. The updated policy clarifies exactly what this token is, how it is stored, and how it can be removed (by logging out or via your notification settings).
No Action Required
